Apologies for yet another letter. I am conscious as a parent myself that at present I seem to be receiving letters constantly from school and that I in turn am writing to you on a much more regular basis.
Please accept that this is well intentioned and my sole aim is to keep you fully informed in these unprecedented times.
In light of the current uncertainty I have taken the difficult decision to cancel the following events:-
- Presentation Evening Thursday 2nd July 2020
- Staff INSET day Friday 3rd July 2020
- Sport Presentation Evening (First Monday in July 2020)
- Year 10 Work experience w/c Monday 13th to Friday 17th July 2020
I am also aware that the year 8 HPV injections are scheduled for Monday 13th and Wednesday 15th July 2020. I should imagine at this moment in time that it is highly unlikely that these will go ahead.
Like everyone we do not know how long the lockdown will last, so any future plans could be subject to change. With this in mind, I am not at this juncture proposing any alternative dates for the aforementioned cancellations.
You will note from the above that I have decided to cancel the staff INSET Day on Friday 3rd July 2020. Should the college be open for business as usual at this time we will expect all students from years 7 to 10 to attend on this day. I am sure that you will agree with me that it would be counterproductive to disrupt learning any further by asking our students to stay at home again once college has reconvened.
Please continue to stay safe. Yours faithfully
Mr M Haworth
if you have not already done so please could you complete the Covid Testing Consent Form via the link below before 12pm tomorrow (Thursday 25th February).
Even if you do not wish to give consent, please complete the Form to notify us of that decision. To enable the college to plan for a return testing programme we need a full picture of Consent/Non-Consent for all students.
Thank you for your assistance with this process.
