As you are no doubt aware, the Government has enforced a National Lockdown which will commence on Thursday 5th November. Therefore the college has made the decision to suspend all extra-curricular clubs and intervention sessions that would normally take place after college until further notice.
This in line with the Governments advice to all education establishments which has been released today. The safety and well-being of our students and staff was at the forefront of our decision. A review of this decision will be made after Wednesday 2nd December.
This will undoubtedly cause some distress to Year 11 students who regularly attended intervention. In order to continue with the additional support the college offers, Intervention for Year 11 students will be available on Microsoft Teams. Students can access the ‘Year 11’ folder on the teams platform where subject intervention will be provided for students to access.
If any student has any issues accessing remote learning, please contact Ms Penkethman at the college on 0161 370 5121.
As a community it is vitally important that we work together and follow the government’s guidelines and restrictions that are imposed from Thursday 5th November.
Thank you for your continued support during these difficult times.
