I would like to begin today by congratulating our students for their positive attitude and commitment to learning over the last four weeks since the return to college site. The attendance data has remained above the national averages and the general feedback from staff has been extremely positive.
This week the students and staff have been involved in our Easter wellbeing activities. This has been well received by students and staff and has been a nice lead to the Easter break.
As the national lockdown measures begin to be cautiously eased our students will be able to enjoy the Easter break with more freedoms than the last 3 months have permitted. However, I trust that parents and carers will support the college and indeed the national effort in ensuring that students adhere to the restrictions that remain in place throughout the holiday break.
As we recently held the one year remembrance of the Covid National Lockdown, I would like to end today by saying how proud I have been as a Headteacher to see the resilience, attitude and commitment of our students during what has been an unprecedented and challenging year for all.
Finally, unfortunately there will be no blog for the next two weeks as the college is closed for the end of term holiday. I hope that everyone enjoys the holiday and returns fully refreshed on Monday 19th April.
Take care and stay safe.
