REMEMBRANCE DAY 2020
At Wright Robinson College we take great pride in marking our respect to remember those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world.
Registration/Form time 8.25 – 8.55 am- A video will be shown to all year groups
10.45 am Head Boy, Head Girl, students who are in a
cadet service uniform (army, navy, air force, scouts & guides, etc.) to
assemble in the exhibition space at 10.45 am. Students will be socially distanced.
Deputy Head Boy/Girl and Assistant Deputy Head Boy to act as bearers for
the 2 – minute silence. All other Cadet students in uniform plus Year 10
students to form guard of honour at the Beeley Memorial.
Students assemble on the balconies. All will be socially distanced.
10.57 am An announcement will be made so that staff can prepare students for the 2-minute silence.
Deputy Head Boy – Read In Flanders Field
The Last Post will be played over the tannoy system.
Following the playing of the Last Post, the 2-minute Silence will commence at exactly 11.00 am.
11.00 am 2-minute silence begins – poppy drop to commence
At the end of the 2-minute silence, the ‘Rouse’ will be played over
the tannoy system. After the 2-minute silence Head/deputy Boy and Girl to lay a wreath at the Beeley memorial.
11.03 am Mr Mason will thank all students and staff.
