Vote for Terry Surridge – M.E.N People’s Choice Award

Voting now open for the People’s Champion at the Manchester Sports Awards 2019

The award celebrates a person who has made an impact over a number of years on people, a club, a school or their community. Terry has served Wright Robinson College and our community for more than 30 years.

Terry began his teaching career in Manchester in 1963 and has been a champion of weightlifting and sports coaching in the area ever since.

In 1973 he started coaching weightlifting in Gorton in his school and his club – Team Manchester.

Eight years later he was appointed Deputy Head at Wright Robinson where he organised the British Schools’ Championships and has coached youngsters who have competed world-wide.
